I spent the evening in Norg in meditation. When I left my trance almost a whole week had passed. I was surprised by the amount of time I had spent in meditation. My mind seemed clearer than it had ever been. I went back to visit Jaucribaix, he thought I had forgotten about my reward, I had been gone for so long. He started to talk to me when Gilgamesh arrived, Jaucribaix seemed surprised to see him.
Gilgamesh thanked me for the hard work of acquiring the materials needed to craft the blade. They hand make their weapons it allows for a connection to the blade, an understanding they say. He told me of the Samurai how they connect with their weapon. He presented me with a gift, the blade that was made. This blade was named mumeito, it was impressive. I graciously accepted it from him, honored that they would accept me into their ranks. I could say nothing to him to show my thanks, I only bowed.
He was gone as quickly as he came. I was left with the mumeito and the ability to now train as a Samurai. There was nothing left for me to do here but head back to Kazham.
I had heard that there was others that could also teach me about new jobs. So I headed out to the different towns to talk to the locals and see if I could find some of these people.
My first stop was in Jeuno. There I visited the beastmaster I met when I helped the sick chocobo. His son was sick and needed some roots from a plant in Qufim. I headed out and was able to find the plants. I was followed by the beastmaster and his chocobo that he had abused also came to help and dug up some of the roots. I think the beastmaster learned more from me than I did from him but I am able to train as a beastmaster now.
My second stop was in Bastok, there I found a Galka that had mentioned a Dark Knight. I went into the mines where he was reported to be. I successfully located the Dark Knight he gave me a Great Sword "Chaosbringer" and told me to satisfy it's thirst. I killed many creatures with the blade (more like blunt piece of metal) and traveled to Beadeaux when the Dark Knight said he would be. There he had informed me that I had already learned all that was needed to start training as a Dark Knight.
Finally I made a trip to Windurst, there was a ranger there I had heard of. Once I arrived I was told to go and find an old sabertooth and bring back some bones. This was supposed to teach me some lesson about nature. I found the cave and this old animal was dieing. I did not have to wait long for it to expire. I grabbed the bones and took it back to the ranger who told me that the hunter uses it's fangs to hunt, and when it dies all that is left is the fangs. I am not quite sure what she is talking about since there is more that is left. There is the memory of the deceased, their influence on the world. She seemed naive but maybe after spending some time training as a ranger I will understand what she meant.
That was all for my travels, as it took a number of days to accomplish all of this. I still have some more people I need to seek out about training. Maybe soon I will be able to do so.
