The Dunes... Again

I went out to the dunes as a white mage to try and train some. I spent a long time playing in the sand with nothing happening. Finally I had decided that I should go ahead and no train on my own and that is when I finally got an invite to join some adventurers for training.

When I joined up with them I noticed that we didn't really have anyone that could get beaten up on by the creatures. Well I decided to give it a shot and see if we could slay some lizards and increase our skills. There was another white mage in our party and I thought that we should be able to handle some semi tough creatures as long as we stayed away from the big ones we shouldn't get horribly injured.

For a short period of time we had a very skilled white mage helping us also and everything seemed to be going ok. After a few minutes however the white mage and one of our party members had to leave. We replaced this member with a paladin that was under skilled and couldn't provoke the creatures to attack him. He took his time getting to us, getting lost and being chased by monsters. When he finally got to our camp we killed two creatures and then he said he had to go.

This group was turning out to be a mess, but we continued on. Soon we had a red mage joining us. Great, I thought, now someone will actually be able to lower the mobs skills.. I was so very wrong. See up until now I had been trying to cast some of my spells on the creatures like dia, poison, paralyze, blind so that it would be easier to kill. However I had to be casting cure at every possible opportunity to keep the dark knight we had alive.. The other white mage... well lets just say there was something wrong with him.

I don't want to go into him to much cause it might make me crazy again but let me cover some basics. He had less mana than me at a level higher (thanks to me having black mage as a sub job) but he wanted to cast protecta about every 2 minutes even though it had not worn of anyone yet. For the start of the fight he would do nothing till the dark knight was low on life then would cast cure II using up most of his mana and getting the monsters to attack him. When I brought up the fact that he may not want to be so over zealous with the cure II and just try and use Cure to keep him alive by casting more frequently he seemed to think this was a bad idea and getting the monsters to attack him was fun. I had to stop myself from bashing his head in with my bronze mace. ...That is enough of that I am getting angry again already....

So back to enfeebling the monsters.. I figured with a red mage here he would take care of that.. Well the red mage apparently thought he was a fighter since he had a warrior sub job. So I guess he didn't need to enfeeble the lizards. At this point I started to get alittle crazy.. I fell to the sand and started holding my head. I blacked out and don't remember to much after that. I had been talking to Mr. Lost and he sent his mechanical spider Omega to come and help me... I don't know how he came to have a mechanical spider but when I awoke I was back in West Ronfaure.

I dusted myself off and decided that was enough of spending time in the dunes for awhile so I went back to the orc's outpost to slay some of them. They are dirty creatures and I can't stand them.

The training was slow but it was consistant. I was able to get up to rank 12 as a white mage. I believe I have decided to get to 15 as a white mage before I go back to training as a red mage. This should allow me to get to rank 30 as a red mage with out having to go back and train white mage again. I miss training as a red mage......
