Dragons and Level30

I woke up just inside of Kazham, my back ached, I had trained till I passed out the day before. I made great progress and had increased in strength quite a bit.

This day started out pretty boring. I sat around town for quite some time not able to find a suitable group to head out with. Ok, I couldn't find any group. Eventually I got an offer to join a group of adventurers heading out to Yhoator Jungle. This would be my first excursion to this area.

After all of the party members arrived we hopped on Chocobos and headed out. Once we got to the area we found a little cave to setup camp in. We were slaying the Mandragora of Yhoator. Progress was slow but steady.

While I was out hunting Soli wanted to know if I was still wanting to see about taking care of the monsters that is terrorizing the Yagado. I informed him that I was and would be ready shortly. I had hoped I would reach the skill level of 30 before we headed to take care of these monsters. Unfortunately luck was not on my side as the group I was with decided to disband short of me learning the required skills to be considered 30. I was close, but close doesn't count.

I left to go and meet Soli in Windurst. It is a long ride from where I was and it took me some time to get there. Everything was ok however since we didn't have everyone together and Bishmonten was still tired from some earlier event. I went out hunting for some bee hive chips since they sell well and some silk thread while I waited. Traydon had shown up in the meantime and was going to help us out also. Eventually we were all gathered and ready to head out.

Everyone finally made it to Balga's Dias where the monster was reported to be. There was this odd burning circle thing there. Apparently the key I had got many days ago was to be used on this thing. It was quite scary. Reluctantly I used the key, and we were teleported to another area, time, dimension... I really don't know. The area looked the same, dry, dusty, sandy overall reminds me to much of the dunes. Walking alittle ways down you could see something different though the area changed.. There was this lady taking on the monster and it summoned this ugly dragon. She decided that we could handle them and left.

We made a battle plan. I was to sleep the dragon then we would focus our attention on the eye thing. Once it was defeated we would take care of the dragon.

I inched forward just close enough to cast a spell on the dragon wanting to stay as far away from it as possible. My spell went off with out a problem and the dragon fell asleep. In rushed Soli, Bish and Tray they started pounding the eye.. I ran up to assist them and was able to get regen in on one of them. Almost as soon as I finished casting regen the eye was dead.. Well, I thought, he was weak surely this dragon will be much more difficult.

The dragon woke up and started lumbering towards me, it gave me the chills. My companions were quick to engage it. Once they had it's attention I looked to see who was injured and needed to be cured. I cast a cure and drew my sword and ran up to start attacking the dragon. I was still 10 paces or so from it when it stopped moving and slammed to the ground defeated. Surely this was joke for as ugly and big as this thing was it was weaker than the Mandragora that I was hunting earlier. I kept an eye out for some trickery but the dragon disappeared.

The odd adventurer that interupted me earlier when I was in Bastok showed up again. She was surprised to see a dragon. Apparently these creatures had not been seen since the dark lord or some such was sealed away. She was very disturbed by what happened. I wasn't sure what the fuss was about, this dragon could hardly bother a single seasoned adventurer. I didn't want to dawdle, just in-case there was some pressing issue and I headed straight to the consul in Windurst.

He was just as surprised as about the dragon, and wrote a report for me to take back to the homeland. He said it was urgent and I need to get the report there quickly. I had been planning to help one of our new members but I noticed that Soli had already headed out with him and left us behind. I was sure Soli would take good care of him and decided I should do what the consul had asked and get this report to my homeland quickly.

I asked Tray if he would send me to the Telepoint in La Theine. He said that he would help and came out of the residential area in his bathing suit, not seeming to care. Before I could even mention that maybe he should put some more clothes on he had already whisked me to the telepoint. I waved and ran off towards San D'Oria.

I walked through the gates, it had seemed like ages since I had been back home. I quickly headed to the Chateau to report to Halver. I handed over my report and at first he seemed shocked. Then he said that it could not be possible and I must be imagining things, but concluded that my mission was a success. I swear what is with those close to the royal family, they seem to always be more stubborn and stuck up than the rest of our race. I wanted to smack him but decided against it and left.

I headed back out to Kazham, found another group of adventurers and went back to killing Mandragoras to relieve my frustration. Before I knew it I had already passed the skill level of 30. Our group disbanded and I headed back to town. Once in town I rented a chocobo and headed to see the Samurai... For now I am tired of writing and must get back to my meditation.
